Simulating Software Refactorings based on Graph Transformations

Abstract

We deal with the simulation of software processes in order to assure higher software quality. In this paper, we consider the specific problem of how to define a suitable structure of software graphs. Based on the traditional idea of describing software with syntax trees, we put forward the idea of a simulation model for refactorings, where we view the latter as transformations of software graphs. We deal with the simulation of software processes in order to assure higher software quality.
