A Cloud Based Software Infrastructure for Distributed Simulation Applications

Description

Within this project, we research and develop generic methods for distributed simulation applications in the cloud as a higher level service to provide "Simulation Platform as a Service" (SimPaaS). The goals of this project comprise the following:
  • Development of methods and tools to model and implement application for simulation in the cloud
  • Development of methods for optimized resource usage of simulation applications in the cloud
  • Designing and developing simulation specific monitoring tools and an interactive execution management for simulation applications in the cloud
  • Development of mechanism to ensure a reliable execution for long-period running simulation applications in the cloud
The goals will be validated and evaluated by means of case studies.
