Abstract

Usability is an important factor for the usage of websites. As more and more services are provided via their web representation, libraries need to put usability and user experience more and more into their focus. This presentation provided an overview and introduction into the topics usability and usability-engineering. It introduced basics for performing a discount usability-engineering with a focus on libraries. Subsequently, it allowed for discussion on the application of diverse usability evaluation methods. Afterwards, there was a workshop focusing on current usability aspects of the services provided by the SLUB and how they can be solved.
